The tightly woven pattern and cane seat of this high-back plantation rocker makes it a timeless classic. The Troutman Woven rocker is built with fine craftsmanship and beauty making it a special chair to be passed from generation to generation as an heirloom. It's crafted in North Carolina by a company that's known around the world for its quality. Enjoy your time shooting the breeze with friends and family while relaxing in this quality woven rocker. Using Swelled Joint Construction (a technique borrowed from Shaker design that does not use glue) larger posts are air-dried 6 to 9 months and smaller posts are kiln dried. This variance in moisture content makes the small posts swell and the large posts shrink making a very tight fit. In fact this chair will get tighter over time. Thanks to its Interlocking Joinery Construction notched dowels make it nearly impossible to be pulled apart. Indoors or out stainless steel nails and arm braces ensure that it's rust-freeTroutman Chair Co. established in 1924 uses sturdy oak stock from local loggers as they clear land for developing subdivisions and does not cut trees just to make furniture. The logs are brought to the on-site mills to ensure quality control and a link to their time-honored way of doing things. Ships partially assembled.
