Designed by John Northrop and Gerrard Vultee this six passenger monoplane was built by the Lockheed Company in 1927. It became famous for the pilots that flew her. Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly the Atlantic single handed in one and Wiley Post flew his around the world?twice! This plane was also rugged and fast with a four seat version taking several national air racing trophies in 1928.
