Made from Southern Poplar wood - a lightweight flexible wood similar to pine - this swing is unfinished so you can choose to seal and stain or paint it for a custom look. Each slat end and corner is well sanded to be smooth to the touch and slats are a comfortable width and thickness. This wood is not pressure-treated so you may want to apply a sealant anywhere from twice a year to every other year depending on the environment where you live. The wood slats are secured to the frame via nails.
