The Intruder was built to fill the need of the U.
S. Navy for an all-weather carrier-based attack aircraft to serve as a replacement for the World War II A-1Skyraider. The A-6 became the principal attack aircraft from the mid 1960s through the 1990s delivering weapons on targets in complete darkness or stormy weather.
This replica of the Intruder is carved from solid mahogany and is completely hand painted for an authentic look.
