The 367-80 was a prototype for the Boeing commercial jet transport the 707 and military jet KC-135. In 1955 the Dash 80 flew from Seattle to Washington D.

C. in less than four hours. The 367-80 flew in research and development service with Boeing until 1970. As of 1972 the Dash 80 is part of the Smithsonian's National Air Space Museum collection.
