Adapted from the DC-3 commercial aircraft the C-47 Skytrain was nicknamed the Gooney Bird and was utilized as a versatile cargo plane as well as personnel transport. In a combat role it carried paratroopers and even towed troop-carrying gliders.
This replica of the popular C-47 is carved from solid mahogany and is completely hand painted for an authentic look. It also features a removable wooden base.
This model is available in silver or olive paint configurations.
