This aircraft is a variant of the standard DC-8 and is modified from the 61 series of planes as part of the Super Seventies series. This plane was re-designed with new engines that were 70% quieter than the previous models. At the time of their introduction they were the worlds quietest four engine airliner. More powerful and efficient this aircraft was a commercial success.
