In 1970 Northrop won a competition to determine the single-seat International Fighter Aircraft (IFA) that was to succeed Northrop's F-5A. The two-seat F-5F was developed while the first F-5E Tiger II was rolled out at Hawthorne on June 23 1972 and was sent to Edwards AFB for flight-testing. Lengthened and slightly enlarged this aircraft featured an increased wing area and more sophisticated avionics.
This replica features an all mahogany construction and is entirely hand painted. The display stand will showcase this aircraft perfectly in your collection.
