The three-legged pedestal and horizon are made of shiny lacquered solid mahogany and support a six-inch diameter freely spinning gemstone globe encircled by a full brass meridian. Countries handcrafted from 25 types of semi-precious gemstones are surrounded by vast deep blue oceans made of crushed lapis. The globe surface is protected by ten coats of clear lacquer which impart a lustrous sheen to bring out the brilliant colors of the stones. Lines of latitude and longitude are clearly visible as are country names and other salient details. The incredibly accurate clock uses quartz movement classic Roman numerals and a sweeping second hand to tell you the time at a glance. This globe is accompanied by a Gemstone Chart and a Certificate of Authenticity.
