What We Like About this GlobeThe cartographer Jodocus Hondius developed a world map to commemorate Sir Francis Drake's circumnavigation of the globe. Shortly thereafter he purchased the copperplates of fellow cartographer Mercator. Combining the two he published an updated globe in 1627.
