The Large Crusade Chessmen bring medieval history to life with brilliant hand-painted detail and historical colors. These extra-large chess pieces depict characters from the Third Crusade also known as the King's Crusade. This set includes two sides and has King Richard the Lionheart facing off against Saladin in an attempt to recapture the Holy Land. Both sides of the set include knights soldiers and castle turrets along with the two kings waged in a historical battle. This set includes your choice of boards (the walnut and high gloss boards include built-in storage drawers for pieces).
