American Cherry wood work surface is 4 inches thick and is styled in a quaint checkerboard pattern created by stacking the wood pieces on end and then gluing them tightly. No staples or rods are used in the construction.
The base of this kitchen island is made of maple and painted black to create an interesting contrast with the natural wood of the countertop. Tapered legs feature carved shapes with a circular knob above the feet for a traditional rustic appeal.
This kitchen island is available in your choice of sizes. The small size comes with one dovetailed storage drawer in the front and the large island has two drawers (as shown).
