With its graceful combination of metal and wood the Martino Daybed by Hillsdale exhibits the beauty of mixed-medium furniture. This daybed combines classic metal grates featuring vertical slats and scrollwork with solid wood posts topped with round finials. The silhouette of the heavy-gauge metal grates features a sweeping high-profile back gently sloped arms and delicate scrollwork within the framed top border. A smoky gray finish on the metal and complementing warm cherry finish on the wood complete this daybed in homage to traditional furniture design. *Note: Trundle and Mattress are both optional and not included with basic set. Select the optional trundle option to accommodate extra overnight guests. You can also choose to purchase a twin mattress for the daybed or twin mattresses for both daybed and trundle. A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com optional trundle packages include a metal pop-up style trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin size daybed into a king size bed.

Creating a king size bed out of a daybed and a pop-up trundle is easy and with the Create-A-King mattress connector it will be so comfortable you'll never know it comprises two twin mattresses. The Create-A-King isn't necessary for the tranformation but is an excellent way to cover the seam between the two twin mattresses. Mattress option is the Super Sleep Mattress. Perfectly sized for bunk beds trundles or daybeds the Super Sleep Mattress is a good-quality twin mattress with a gray cover. The Sta-rite inner quilted cotton pad offers extra comfort and a rolled innerspring with 288 coils provides medium-firm support. The cover is smooth with a single taped edge. Mattress measures: 74L x 38W x 6.75H inches. Ideal as twin trundle or daybed mattress.
