Meade's Series 4000 Plossl 9mm illuminated reticle eyepiece is the most advanced product of its type on the market. It features micrometric x-y positioning controls which greatly facilitate locking onto a guide star. Simply turn the finely-threaded controls and place the reticle's crossline pattern precisely at the desired position in the field. The reticle pattern is a double crossline with two concentric circles. Sharp high-power imaging of the four-element multi-coated Plossl optical system is complemented by a rubber eyecup (foldable for eyeglass wearers) that shuts out distracting stray light. The upper lens section of the eyepiece rotates on a fine thread for precise diopter adjustment. This model includes a 6-foot cord and connector for direct plug-in to control panels of Meade LX200 LX200GPS and ED/APO telescopes. Improve the performance of your telescope with a Meade filter set.
