The Mercer Metal Daybed by Hillsdale is a beautiful Victorian-style daybed perfect for reading relaxing or napping. Sturdy aluminum castings and old-fashioned-looking metal provide a quaint antique feel. Ornately carved flourishes and sleigh-style posts bring a beautiful focal point to any room. Daybed support system is included. Optional convenient trundle available. *Note: Trundle and Mattress are both optional and not included with basic set. To include select in the Value Package field.

A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com optional trundle packages include a metal pop-up style trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin size daybed into a king size bed.

Optional mattress is the Deluxe Medium Support Twin Mattress. Crafted with multiple layers of resilient foam filling the Deluxe Medium Support Twin Mattress will provide outstanding comfort and medium-firm support for any twin-size bed or daybed. Machine tufting and high-performance 2.0 density foam help retain the mattress shape and double layers of polyester on top and bottom provide a clean crisp look. Strong twill fabric holds the tuft of the mattress while tape edge finishing ensures a proper fit and finish of the mattress cover. The mattress measures 75L x 39W x 8H inches and carries a 10-year warranty.

Creating a king size bed out of a daybed and a pop-up trundle is easy and with the Create-A-King mattress connector it will be so comfortable you'll never know it comprises two twin mattresses. The Create-A-King isn't necessary for the tranformation but is an excellent way to cover the seam between the two twin mattresses.
