Saf-T-Grates are designed of heavy duty ribbed cast iron with optional center sections for expansion in large fireplaces plus adjustable legs for leveling. Holes and slots keep large embers and logs together for more efficient slow burning fire. They offer an incredible 5 year warranty against defects in material and workmanship. The Saf-T-Grate 22 inch model has tapered sides and is in 3 sections. The grate clearance is 4 in. off the ground. The grate measures 22.5 inches across the front 18 inches across the back and has a depth of 16.5 inches. Its support fingers cradle and support wood better and more securely than a normal grate.
