Lateral storage units mean easy access on the Schwab Series 5000 - Fire-Resistant - 2-Side Tab and 1-Drawer Lateral Filing Cabinet. Capable of storing both legal- and letter-size documents this cabinet features two storage shelves over one storage drawer. The shelves feature fully retractable doors that swing up and out of the way for easy access to what's inside and all sections features secure locks. Each drawer opens independently and has recessed handles. This cabinet is made of fire-resistant materials and feature patented Insulate fire protection insulation. They are also impact-tested up to a 30-foot fall. These durable features make them ideal for use in the healthcare industry where documents must remain safe and secure for many years.

L.) test the product by heating it up to 1700 degrees (most fires reach 800 degrees) over the course of an hour then cooling it over several days. The interior temperature must remain at or below 125 degrees. This product meets or exceeds all tests for heat impact and water resistance. In the event the filing cabinet falls through a floor or is knocked by support beams the drawers will not jar open.
