Packed with much more information than a simple beginning US map the Cram United States Discovery Map is designed for the intermediate geography lessons of second or third grade. This colorful square map is exciting and easy to follow. The larger diagram shows state lines along with rivers lakes cities and other features of our nation. An inset physical map depicts the natural terrain and familiarizes kids with the other main type of map they'll see in their future studies. In addition body direction details on the inset help students distinguish directional cues. The straightforward legend uses elements directly from the map so kids can easily find and understand the information they need. The map is printed on durable non-tear material that you can mark on while teaching to point out key features. A heavy-duty spring roller protects the map while not in use and smoothly expands when needed; the backboard keeps the map flat so everyone can see.
