The chessmen are made in India triple-weighted and felted. This set includes double queens and bridled knight pieces.

The dark chessmen are made from solid ebony wood a rare dense strong and heavy hardwood that is difficult to carve therefore only entrusted to the hands of master carvers. Ebony wood varies in color from red to black with a rich variety of dark shades. The light chessmen are made from boxwood a fine-grained hardwood with an ivory appearance and a natural luster. The king stands four inches tall with a base diameter of 1.7 inches. Board dimensions: 17.3L x 17.3W x 3.75H inches.
