Great American Classic Red Cedar Swing with Optional Cushion
The Cedar Classic Swing brings together everything we love about porch swings. It is constructed of quality cedar wood which is well-suited for outdoor use because it is rot-resistant and is a natural insect repellent. A wide design and graceful arching backrest beckon to be enjoyed. The contoured-for-comfort seat never disappoints and it's made even better with a soft cushion. Covered in polyester or Olefin this cushion is available in several patterns and has a polyester fill for softness and durability. Cushions have piped edges for a finished look and ties to keep them from blowing away.This wood is not pressure-treated. If your swing is exposed to a great deal of humidity precipitation and/or sun as in coastal or mountain regions we recommend you treat it with a sealant up to twice a year. If your swing will hang in drier conditions with less weather exposure we recommend treating it anywhere from once a year to once every two years.Hanging chains are 7 feet in length. Length from the top of the chain to the inverted V is 4.5 feet. This chain is a zinc-plated 10-gauge wire sometimes referred to as a double loop or twin loop chain. Hanging clearance will depend on how high you hang the swing and the force used to create a swinging motion.
