This is a great cross-over astronomical and terrestrial scope. The A80SS is extremely portable. It is small enough to be mounted on a photo tripod for the casual astronomical / terrestrial observer with enough aperture for excellent deep sky viewing. The optical tube comes standard with our red dot finder 2 focuser flip mirror diagonal and dovetail tube plate for quick and easy mounting. At less than 11 with dew shield flipped the Vixen A80SS is the ultimate grab-n-go travel scope!

The optical tube comes standard with Vixen's red dot finder 2 eyepiece adapter dual T-thread flip-mirror with dual 1 1/4 eyepiece adapters dovetail tube plate and 1/4-20 socket (under dovetail) for quick and easy mounting. Optional 90mm tube rings allow mounting on non-compatible mounts.
