Hand-carved in the magnificent Black Forest tradition of Germany this distinctive timepiece depicts a quaint forest cottage complete with carefully crafted animated wood chopper. The wood chopper moves on the half-hour and hourly marks and is accompanied by his faithful dog. Not only is the time displayed by attractive wooden hands and dial but it is also announced every hour by your choice of two pleasant melodies. Precise timing mechanics keep music and movements exactly synchronized. The nighttime silence feature is conveniently located on the side or bottom of the housing. The assembly measures 10 inches.
