Nicknamed Old Shakey this plane was the last American aircraft to feature piston-driven engines. Two wars and nearly 25 years made this heavy cargo plane unbeatable when it came to capacity and load capability. Though slow it could carry most heavy equipment such as tanks and field guns without breaking them down.
