Catalog description
P-51 Detroit Miss Nose Art Panel, part number VE009, is a discontinued product from the 2007–2011 catalog. It was last listed at $279.99.
First Lt. Urban Drew flew his P-51 Mustang the Detroit Miss with a skill that was the result of his time as a flight instructor and inherent talent as an aviator. In his days as an ace he won several victories including one Bf-109. On a later flight he downed two Me-262s in a single mission. It was over 40 years later that the two Me-262 victories won him the Air Force Cross in 1983. These panels are detailed replicas of the original nose art portrayed on vintage aircraft. Painstakingly researched and entirely hand-painted by noted aviation artist Gary Velasco these 18x40 inch pieces are made from aircraft grade aluminum and are ready to display proudly in your home or office.
Order these handcrafted panels online today and honor the memory of the pilots that flew into history.
